About
The Harmon Youth (Harmony) Lab is dedicated to supporting youth mental health. Our mission is to bridge scientific research and real-world clinical care through innovative, translational research. We focus on emotional and behavioral regulation and study common childhood conditions - including anxiety, depression, irritability, ADHD, and disruptive behaviors - by examining the core regulatory and neurocognitive mechanisms that drive their development, persistence, and response to treatment. Rather than examining diagnoses in isolation, we take a transdiagnostic, mechanism-focused approach to identify shared processes that contribute to symptom overlap and clinical complexity. By linking these mechanisms to assessment and treatment processes, our work seeks to translate scientific insights into more precise, effective, and evidence-based clinical practices.
