Sherelle Harmon, PhD LCSW - Director

Sherelle Harmon is the Director of the Harmon Youth Lab and an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department of Florida State University. 

 

     

Serena Aiken - Coordinator

Serena received her B.S. in Psychology and Women's Studies from FSU, where she completed an Honors Thesis on diversity in children’s media. Her research interests include social and emotional learning, identity development, and the role of technology and media in early child development. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in School Psychology.  

              

Katie Crocker-Black, MSW, RCSWI Clinician

Katie earned her MSW from FSU and her B.A. in Psychology from Florida International University, where she completed an Honors Thesis on children’s social problem-solving. She is dedicated to improving mental health and well-being for children and families, with a strong focus on underserved and system-involved populations.   

 

   

Jin Cho, MA - Graduate Student

Jin is a first-year doctoral student in the Harmony Lab. He earned his B.S. in Psychology from Ohio State University and his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Cleveland State University, where he completed a master’s thesis on developing a screening scale for bipolar disorder. His research interests include advancing adaptive emotion regulation strategies and improving treatment for mood disorders in children. 

              

Lauren DeGeorge - Graduate Student

Lauren is a second year MSW student at FSU’s College of Social Work. She earned her B.S. in Psychology and Human Development & Family Sciences from FSU. Lauren has extensive experience supporting children and families across school and home settings and is passionate about providing mental health services to children and families, with a particular interest in system-involved populations and trauma-informed care.

   

Trinity Bryant - Graduate Assistant

Trinity is a second-year master's student in the Human Development & Family Science program. Her research examines the links between maternal mental health, parenting behavior, and child development, with a particular focus on how prenatal maternal stress shapes behavioral and mental health outcomes in early childhood. 

              

Annie Marquardt - Research Assistant

Anne Marquardt is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communications. She is interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying anxiety and ADHD in children as well as their treatment. She plans to pursue a Masters in Counseling. 

 

   

Juliana Rosina - Research Assistant

Juliana is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience. Her interests include understanding how childhood mental disorders influence cognitive development. She plans to go to medical school following graduation.
